The RPU-013 processor unit is compatible for both X-band AND S-band radar systems. But it requires a different power board and HV-TX board. Simply, power board depends on the vessel’s power source and the type of antenna motor. Also, the HV-TX board depends on the output power whether it is 12kw, 25kw, or 30 kw. Possible to connect when the RPU-013 and CU-200 are connected without HUB. In fact, in such situations, cross cables are used.
What Happens When the Processor Unit RPU-013 Stops Working (fails)?
-The control unit RCU-014 monitors the RPU-013
-The control unit detects the problem
-Once the failure is detected, the system triggers a “SYSTEM FAIL ALARM.”
-This alarm signal is sent out through a specific connector on the RPU-013, called the EXT ALARM terminal (J612, pins #11 and #12).
-That signal can then be connected to an external device (like an alarm panel, buzzer, or monitoring system) so operators are alerted.
Power Specifications:
The processor RPU-013 can be powered in these 3 ways.
– 100 VAC: 10 A (125 V)
– 220 VAC: 5 A (250 V)
– 24 VDC: 20 A (125 V)
Meanwhile, if you want to connect the RPU013 to extra monitors or VDR, you can use optional boards like the DVI IF board, RGB buffer board, or the AD converter (GC-10 board).
Possibility of connecting RPU-013 to control units:
– RPU-013 connects directly with RCU-014 or RCU-015 control units.
-RCU-016 cannot be connected directly to the RPU-013, because it has no power switch.
-If you want to use RCU-016, you must connect it through RCU-014 or RCU-015.
