Universal NMEA to Step / Synchro Unit 03-01MK2 v2.22
The NMEA to Step/Synchro converter converts digital NMEA 0183 heading data into traditional Step or Synchro signals. In fact, the device receives NMEA data signals with heading information from your new gyrocompass(s) and generates Synchro or Step signals with enough power to drive all the old mechanical repeaters. As a result, it allows your digital gyro or heading sensor to work with older Step and Synchro repeaters — without needing to replace your entire bridge system. This converter unit is used on commercial vessels, offshore installations, and ships that still rely on classic repeater systems. Further, the unit is powered by 24 V DC and uses NMEA heading signals as its input reference. The SR03-01MK2 v2.22 has two NMEA input ports for receiving high-speed heading data. In the meantime, it accepts an external reference from another unit or a central source, allowing phase-synchronized synchro signals. And its LCD display shows unit status, alarms, input current and temperature inside the unit.
