The Yokogawa LR524 is a large-format analog speed indicator designed for single-axis applications within the Yokogawa EML500 electromagnetic speed log system. With its instantly readable 180 mm dial face, it gives bridge officers a clear, real-time view of the vessel’s speed through water — at a glance, without the need to interpret digital numbers under pressure.

Key Features
Large 180 mm Analog Dial The LR524 features an oversized indicator face. It measures 180 mm in outside diameter making it clearly visible even across a wide bridge console. Therefore, it is especially valued in vessels where multiple indicators must be monitored simultaneously.
Single-Axis Speed Indication This unit is specifically configured for single-axis operation. It displays the vessel’s longitudinal speed through water. It works in direct conjunction with the EML500 master unit (LT501) and master indicator (LR523), receiving a digital signal input for accurate display.
Multiple Scale Plate Options The LR524 supports a wide range of measurement scales to suit different vessel types and operational profiles.
Flexible Illumination Options The LR524 is available with either EL board illumination or LED illumination.
Water-Resistant Construction Designed for the marine environment, the LR524 is built to a water-resistant standard, protecting internal components against condensation, spray, and humidity typical of bridge and wheelhouse installations.
Flush Mount and Wall Mount Versions The LR524 is available in two installation styles:
- LR524-F – Flush mount (panel-mounted into console)
- LR524-W – Wall mount (surface-mounted bracket type)
